At Hearts & Hands United, we believe no family should have to choose between keeping the lights on and putting food on the table. No small business should close its doors simply because times got hard. With God's love and the support of our neighbors, we are here to bridge the gap, restore hope, and help you find stability.

We offer two primary assistance programs designed to meet the urgent needs of our community.

Residential Assistance

Our residential program helps families facing financial crisis with utilities, rent, and other essential bills. We work directly with providers to negotiate balances and make payments on your behalf. Families with young children receive priority, and we ask that all applicants first explore other available resources before applying.

Commercial Assistance

Small businesses are the backbone of Trumbull County. Our commercial program provides bill assistance for struggling business owners, helping with utilities, rent, and emergency repairs. We also organize Cash Mobs—community shopping events that drive customers to local businesses when they need it most.

How the Process Works

First, you apply for assistance from other available resources such as county, township, or nonprofit programs. Once those options have been explored or exhausted, you submit an application to Hearts & Hands United. Our team reviews your request prayerfully, contacts your provider directly, negotiates for a lower balance when possible, and pays the bill directly to the provider on your behalf.

Community-Supported Mission

This work is made possible solely through the generosity of our community. Because of this, available funds can sometimes be limited. To help keep this mission alive, we ask that when we are able to help you, you prayerfully consider paying it forward—by volunteering, donating, or giving back in whatever way you can.

Together, we can make our community a stronger, brighter place for everyone.
