"For with God nothing shall be impossible." — Luke 1:37
Hearts & Hands United is a God-led, Christ-centered nonprofit. Our foundation is prayer, compassion, and the belief that with unity and God's guidance, our community can be restored and strengthened.
Why We Serve
Scripture calls us to action. Jesus taught us that whatever we do for the least among us, we do for Him (Matthew 25:40). We are called to bear one another's burdens and fulfill the law of Christ (Galatians 6:2). James reminds us that pure religion means caring for orphans and widows in their distress (James 1:27).
The prophet Micah summarized God's expectations simply: do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God (Micah 6:8). Jesus called us to let our light shine so others may see our good works and glorify our Father in heaven (Matthew 5:16). Peter encouraged us to use whatever gifts we have received to serve one another (1 Peter 4:10). And Jeremiah instructed us to seek the peace and prosperity of our city (Jeremiah 29:7).
These scriptures are not just words to us—they are the heartbeat of everything we do.
Why Our Community Needs Us
Our city, township, and many nonprofits are stretched thin and unable to meet the overwhelming needs of families in crisis. That is why we believe it is up to us as a community—neighbors helping neighbors—to step in. Hearts & Hands United was created to stand in the gap, lifting burdens when others cannot, and proving that together we can do more than we could ever do alone.
What We Believe We Are Called to Do
First and always, we pray. All we do is led by God's wisdom and direction. We help families by providing relief for households facing impossible bills, prioritizing those with infants and children. We uplift small businesses—the backbone of our community. We host events including fundraisers, outreach gatherings, and community drives that bring people together in unity.
We honor our sponsors by planning an annual banquet as a way of giving back and showing gratitude to those who make our mission possible. We build partnerships with churches, local leaders, and other nonprofits because we are stronger together. And we encourage everyone who receives help to pay it forward and invest back into the community in whatever way they can.
Community-Funded, Community-Driven
We are not supported by government programs. Everything we do comes from the generosity of individuals, churches, and businesses in our area. Funds may be limited, but every contribution goes directly toward lifting up families and restoring hope. Together, we can make a difference where others cannot.
A Prayer for Our City
Lord, guide our steps as we seek to restore and uplift this community. Bless every sponsor, volunteer, and family we encounter. Let our work bring hope, healing, and unity so that Your name is glorified. Amen.
